4. Information collected through the Fermigo app
Fermigo may collect limited information related to app use. This may include:
- completed games or activities;

- progress indicators, such as XP or streak status;
- app settings, such as sound on/off;

Supabase provides the database infrastructure used to store and process this information on our behalf.
Certain app preferences, such as sound settings, may also be stored locally on the user’s device so that they remain available when the app is used again.
We do not use this information to show targeted advertising to children.

- contact us by email or through a support form;
- subscribe to Fermigo updates;

If Fermigo offers paid access, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, payments will be handled through Google Play.
We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information.
Google may provide us with limited information needed to confirm purchase or subscription status, such as a transaction ID, subscription status, or related purchase information.
For details about how Google handles payment information, please review Google’s own privacy and payment policies.

- prevent spam, abuse, or security issues.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The Fermigo website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate properly, understand how visitors use the website, measure the effectiveness of our communications and advertising campaigns, and improve our content and services.
We currently use the following categories of cookies and technologies:
- Essential cookies, which are necessary for the website to function properly and to provide basic security and technical features.
- Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors interact with the website, including which pages are visited, how visitors navigate the website, and general information about devices and browsers.
- Meta Pixel, which helps us measure actions taken on the website, evaluate the performance of advertising campaigns on Meta platforms, and improve campaign delivery and measurement.
- TikTok Pixel, which helps us measure website activity, understand the performance of TikTok advertising campaigns, and support campaign attribution and optimization.
Depending on their settings and the choices made through our cookie consent tool, Google, Meta, and TikTok may receive information such as cookie identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral information, and actions taken on the Fermigo website.
Essential cookies may be used without consent where permitted by law. Analytics and marketing technologies are activated only after consent where this is required by applicable law. Visitors can accept, reject, or manage non-essential cookies through the cookie settings available on the website and may change their choices at any time.
These technologies are used on the Fermigo website for analytics, campaign measurement, and communication with parents and other adult users. We do not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to create advertising profiles about children or to serve targeted advertising to children.
Visitors may also manage or delete cookies through their browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how some parts of the website function.
9. Analytics and diagnostics
Fermigo does not currently use a separate third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK within the app.
The app uses the Supabase SDK to connect securely to Fermigo’s cloud-based backend and to store and retrieve information required for the app to function, including game progress and related app activity, as described in Section 4.
When the app communicates with our Supabase backend, limited technical logs and request information may be generated. This may include:
- the date and time of a request;
- request and response information;
- technical error details;
- network information, which may include an IP address;
- information needed to operate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the backend.
We use this information only to:
- operate and maintain the app;
- save and retrieve progress;
- identify and resolve technical problems;
- monitor the reliability and security of our backend;
- prevent misuse or unauthorized access;
- improve the performance of Fermigo.
The Supabase SDK is not used to track children across other apps or websites, show targeted advertising, or create advertising profiles about children.
Fermigo only sends app activity information to Supabase where this has been intentionally implemented as part of the app’s functionality. The use of Supabase does not, by itself, mean that Fermigo collects device models, operating system versions, full crash reports, or information about activity in other apps.
If we add any separate analytics, diagnostics, crash-reporting, or other third-party SDKs in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and the relevant Google Play disclosures before using them. We will only use services that are appropriate for a children’s app and configure them with children’s privacy and data protection requirements in mind.
10. Advertising
Fermigo does not currently show third-party advertising to children.
We do not use children’s personal information for targeted advertising.
We do not knowingly share children’s personal information with advertising networks for behavioral advertising.
If this ever changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain any consent required by law before making the change.
11. Offline challenges
Fermigo may suggest offline challenges, such as estimation tasks, observation games, or parent-child conversation prompts.
These challenges are designed to happen outside the app.
Fermigo does not record, listen to, photograph, or collect the results of offline challenges unless a parent or guardian voluntarily sends that information to us.
12. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may share limited information only in the following situations:
Service providers
We may use trusted service providers to help us operate Fermigo, such as:
- cloud hosting providers;
- database providers;
- analytics or crash-reporting tools;
- email tools;
- customer support tools;
- payment or subscription tools;
- security and anti-spam tools.
These providers may only use the information as needed to provide services to Fermigo.
Legal reasons
We may share information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law;
- respond to a valid legal request;
- protect the rights, safety, or security of Fermigo, our users, or others;
- investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues;
- enforce our terms or policies.
Business changes
If Fermigo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If this happens, we will continue to protect personal information in line with this Privacy Policy.
13. International availability and data transfers
Fermigo may be available worldwide.
This means that information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. These countries may have different privacy laws.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information during international transfers.
14. Data retention
We keep information only for as long as needed.
In general:
- app progress is kept while the app profile or account is active;
- technical logs and crash reports are kept for a limited period;
- support messages are kept as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain appropriate records;
- purchase or subscription records may be kept as required by law, accounting rules, or Google Play requirements.
Parents and guardians may request deletion of information related to their child by contacting us.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information.
These may include:
- limiting access to information;
- using secure systems and providers;
- monitoring for technical issues;
- reducing the amount of personal information we collect;
- deleting or anonymizing information when it is no longer needed.
No app, website, or online service can be completely secure, but we take children’s privacy and safety seriously.
16. Parental access and control
Parents and guardians may contact us to:
- ask what information we have related to their child;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of information;
- withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent;
- ask questions about Fermigo’s privacy practices.
To protect children’s privacy, we may need to verify that the person making the request is the child’s parent or guardian.
Requests can be sent to: contact@fermigokids.com
17. Account deletion
You can delete your Fermigo account and the information associated with it at any time, directly from the app:
- open Fermigo;
- go to Profile → Account → Delete account;
- confirm the deletion.
When the account is deleted, the profile and the game progress stored in Fermigo’s cloud-based backend — including completed activities, selected answers, XP, streak status, and session information — are deleted as well.
App preferences stored locally on the device, such as sound settings, are removed when the app is uninstalled.
Deleting game progress without deleting the account
You can also permanently delete synced game progress without deleting the account:
- open Fermigo;
- go to Parent Settings → Child profile → Reset progress;
- confirm your choice.
This permanently removes the game progress stored in Fermigo’s cloud-based backend — including completed activities, selected answers, XP, streak status, and session information — while the parent account remains active.
If you can no longer access the app, or you prefer not to install it, you can also request account deletion by email. Parents and guardians can send a deletion request to contact@fermigokids.com, and we will delete the account and the associated information, where applicable.
To protect children’s privacy, we may need to verify that the person making the request is the account holder or the child’s parent or guardian.
Certain limited information may be kept after deletion where this is required by law, accounting rules, or Google Play requirements, as described in Section 14.
18. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- access your personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- object to certain processing;
- restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent;
- receive a copy of your information;
- complain to a privacy or data protection authority.
We will respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable law.
19. Additional information for users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent, where you have given consent;
- Contract, where processing is needed to provide Fermigo or related services;
- Legitimate interests, where we have a reasonable business interest that does not override your rights or your child’s rights;
- Legal obligation, where processing is required by law.
You may have additional rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, and request portability of your personal information.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
